We’ve built the Australian Acoustic Observatory, a continent-wide network of hundreds of autonomous sound recorders, collecting the equivalent of over a thousand years of continuous audio. In this talk, I’ll share our journey of listening to nature at scale — and how we’re harnessing the power of cloud computing and artificial intelligence to reveal the health of Australia’s ecosystems.
