Description
In this video, I explore the current recovery and rehabilitation efforts in Afghanistan and show how the country is working towards a drug-free future. Before 2020, an estimated 10% of Afghanistan’s population struggled with substance dependence. But after 2020, major steps were taken to ban harmful substances, crack down on illegal networks, and open rehabilitation centres across the country.
During my visit to a rehab centre in Kabul, I met officials, doctors, and people who are currently rebuilding their lives. This video highlights:
✔️ How rehabilitation centres are helping people start a new life
✔️ Treatment methods used for recovery
✔️ Skill-development programs such as tailoring, sports, gymnastic training, and small-business skills
✔️ Inspiring stories of people who are overcoming addiction
✔️ How communities and authorities aim to create a drug-free Afghanistan
My purpose in creating this video is educational — to raise awareness about how addiction destroys lives and how proper guidance, support, and rehabilitation can completely change someone’s future. This video does not promote any harmful activity. It is meant to inspire, inform, and spread awareness.
