Activists protest against Israeli real estate event in London

Protesters gathered outside Edgware United Synagogue in London on Sunday to demonstrate against the "Great Israeli Real Estate Event" being held inside, where companies advertise land for sale in illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank. Rights groups, activists and more than 100 British MPs have been calling on the UK government to cancel the event due to its connection to illegal Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine. Paul, a Jewish protester told Middle East Eye: "I'm a practicing, very proud Jew, who sees what's going on between Israel and the Palestinians as an abomination of Judaism." Oscar Leyens, an organiser from the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network added: "They are trading land to explicitly only a Jewish population in order to organise settlers to move to their apartheid state. We say this is a disgrace to Jewish history of resistance against fascism and racism." Andrey X, a journalist and activist who works in the West Bank said the atmosphere was "very familiar" to what he experiences there, adding that Palestinian activists had been attacked by Zionists and arrested during the protest.
