The Draupadi Mahotsav was organized by the Draupadi Dream Trust at IIT Delhi in March 2025. In this talk Côme Carpentier de Gourdon discusses the story of Yami and the origins of Yamuna. He relates to the references of Yamuna in the Indo-European world and the connection to the metaphysis, He also reveals how India's most sacred river transformed from a life-giving waterway into a toxic sewage channel, while exploring both traditional wisdom and modern science in the battle for restoration. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the India Foundation, a leading thinktank and forum in New Delhi.
