Boston lit up with fireworks and song as Morocco and France fans descended on the city on Wednesday ahead of their World Cup quarter-final on Thursday at Boston Stadium. In Boston Common, more than 1,000 fans lit up the downtown park with fireworks, flares, and chants of "Dima Maghreb" (Always Morocco) while waving flags. Morocco fans said they were feeling the vibe as their side are no longer simply the compelling underdogs of 2022 but instead, a side bent on challenging the sport’s traditional powers.
