8 Nearly Forgotten Monsters from the Silent Era

You know, there was a time when monsters barely got synchronized soundtracks to announce their arrival or emphasize their scary powers. There weren’t even recorded audio cursor sound effects. It was all the actors. Their facial expression, eyes, menacing personality and most importantly, the set of supernatural powers...these are what made them nightmarish creatures. And, of course, makeup, lighting and set design helped. Yes, I am absolutely talking about the Silent Era in cinema, which, by the way, had quite a few frightening entities. Sadly, they are collecting dust in a corner, subdued under the glory of modern filmmaking. This video is an ode to eight such horrific monsters (both literal and in essence) from the Silent Era who are almost forgotten but deserve all attention.
