Our Injured Mustang is Back- Horse Recovery Update!

In today’s video, we’re sharing an update on Rooster, our mustang, and what the last few weeks of healing have looked like here at home. Between caring for our horses, working on ranch projects, and continuing the search for a larger property that fits our long term plans, this season of life has been full of reflection and change. Rooster was kicked in the elbow while the herd was playing, but after a vet visit, clean X-rays, a drain tube, and some rest, he’s healing up really well. Getting to see him run again has been a huge relief and a reminder of why we do what we do. We also talk honestly about being thankful for the home and land we have, while realizing we’ve outgrown it. With property prices climbing fast, even in small rural communities, it often feels like we’re caught between contentment and the pull toward something bigger. For now, we’re focusing on improving this place, taking care of our animals, and trusting that the right next step will come at the right time.
