Yesterday @OneOceanDiving I was so happy to catch the eye of Tiger Shark Queen Nikki coming up from the deep, most of the time if we are lucky enough to be graced with her presence it is just that, a beautiful sighting, but every now and then she’ll come up closer to the surface and interact. Those moments are so special we usually share them, so here is another one. After 4 hours in the water with many other Tiger sharks passing by she came up close enough to touch and then turned off again at the last moment ❤️ Always happy to see her and she looks like she might be pregnant, we hope so ❤️ It’s that time of year they theoretically pup. Sadly I heard from a friend someone caught and illegally killed a tiger shark pup in the most gruesome and cruel way, clearly a disturbed individual and dumped the body in the water close to shore, essentially baiting larger sharks closer to swimmers, also clearly someone who is either ignorant or wants to encourage an accident, will share more info when I get it, but grateful that most people are kind and respectful to nature and especially baby animals.
