New in 2025 custom Units on Dims long

In the latest update of Vectorworks 2025, significant enhancements have been made to the custom unit standards feature. Users can now easily switch between various unit standards for their plans, such as millimeters, meters, centimeters, or feet and inches. This flexibility allows for tailored presentations of dimensions based on specific project needs. Jonathan explains, “what's changed now is the ability to have our plans but choose a unit standard.” This means that users can apply different units to different aspects of their plans. For instance, one can set straight dimensions to decimal feet while keeping dual dimensions in meters. To create a new unit, users simply click on "New," select their desired unit (like decimal feet), and apply it to specific dimensions. This customization enhances the clarity and presentation of plans, making it easier to communicate measurements effectively.
