Always Do THIS When Unhooking a Fish!

When you're unhooking a fish, always keep the bail open on your reel so you have some slack line. There are two main reasons 👇👇 1️⃣ If the fish starts flopping, you'll be less likely to get a hook in your hand since the lure won't have any resistance against it. 2️⃣ It can help prevent a broken rod! If the line is tight and you pull it, it could snap the rod. Having the bail open lets the line freely come out give you slack.
