What does SNOW in a Jet Engine do to it?

While stationed in Okinawa Japan, we had to endure typhoon season. In seven weeks, six BIG typhoons passed over Okinawa. We hopped in the KC-135s and left the island! The rain on the windshield was deafening… You could not talk across the cockpit. I was asked, "Does all that water do anything to the jet engines?" No. I flew the Water Wagon version of the KC-135 too. Well, what about snow? No. This Cathay Pacific Cargo 747-8 is ingesting snow off the taxiways. You can see it going out the exhaust. Does nothing to the engine.
