In June 2025, the Regional Workshop on Sustainable Gastronomy Tourism in the Pacific brought together small-scale producers, tourism authorities, experts, and institutional partners in Nadi, Fiji. Over three days, participants co-created innovative tourism experiences and itineraries that connect gastronomy, agriculture, and community—laying the foundation for a more diverse and eco-conscious tourism model. Led by UN Tourism, the Mountain Partnership Secretariat at FAO, and the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO), with support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and AICS Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, this initiative is helping build sustainable value chains and itineraries across Pacific SIDS.
