Recipe in English
Ingredients:
-Dalda cooking oil 1 Cup
-Hari mirch (Green chillies) 4
-Chicken (Karahi cut) 1 kg
-Iodized Himalayan pink salt 1 tsp or to taste
-Adrak lehsan (Ginger garlic) Crushed 1 tbs
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) 500g
-Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) crushed 2 tsp
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1 tsp
-Kashmiri lal mirch powder (Kashmiri red chilli powder) 1 tsp
-Dahi (Yogurt) whisked ½ Cup
-Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ½ tbs
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) Chopped handful
-Adrak (Ginger) julienne as required
-Hari Mirch (Green chillies) 2
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) Chopped handful
-Koyla (Charcoal)
Direction:
-In a wok, add cooking oil & heat it, add green chillies, fry for 30 seconds.
-Add chicken, pink salt, mix well & cook on high flame for 6-8 minutes until light golden.
-Add ginger garlic paste, mix well & cook for a minute.
-Turn the flame low, cut tomatoes in half & add to a wok, cover & cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
-Remove lid, remove skin of the tomatoes, turn the flame high & mix well.
-Add coriander, cumin, kashmiri red chilli powder, mix well & cook on high flame until oil separates.
-Add yogurt, mix well & cook for 2 minutes.
-Add black pepper crushed & fresh coriander, mix well.
-Add ginger, green chillies, fresh coriander, and give a coal smoke for a minute.
-Serve karahi with naan, lemon, onion salad, & enjoy!
