Superb Fruit Dove Sounds - Whooping calls

The deep whooping calls of a Superb Fruit Dove. These far-carrying sounds are a common sound of Queensland's tropical rainforest. Superb Fruit Doves also make a softer cooing call and a faster series of repetitive whoops. The Superb Fruit Dove calls in this video were recorded in Paluma Range National Park, Queensland, Australia. Superb Fruit Doves (Ptilinopus superbus) are found along the east coast of Australia, as well as in New Guinea & parts of Indonesia.
