Diljit Dosanjh has once again found himself at the centre of speculation over his U.S. citizenship after a fan asked him to apply for a Green Card during an Instagram Live session. Instead of giving a direct answer, the singer-actor joked that he would simply "take a card and colour it green," adding, "I'm not saying anything," while laughing off the question. Diljit also responded to a fan who suggested he speak to U.S. President Donald Trump about getting everyone American citizenship, saying he is "just an artiste" and doesn't ask anyone for favours. The interaction comes months after reports claimed Diljit became a U.S. citizen in 2022.
