When we glimpse His holiness, our hearts bow, our words quiet, and our worship deepens. Awe restores humility and recalibrates the soul. 📖 Isaiah 6:1–3 (BSB) “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above Him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling out to one another: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; His glory fills the whole earth.’” ➡️ God’s holiness is absolute, overwhelming, and worthy of eternal worship. 📝 The Response of Awe ✏️ “I stand in awe of You” 📖 Psalm 33:8 “Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him.” ➡️ Awe is the only fitting response to the revealed glory of God. 📝 Drawing Near with Reverence ✏️ “Holy God, to whom all praise is due” 📖 Hebrews 12:28 “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.” ➡️ True worship flows from gratitude, shaped by reverence and holy fear—not casual familiarity. 📝 Beloved: Slow your heart and lift your gaze. Let reverence replace routine. Stand again in awe of the Holy One. From that place, obedience flows naturally and worship becomes sincere. 🙏 Prayer: Holy God, we humble ourselves before You. Forgive us for approaching You casually. Restore holy awe within our hearts. Let reverence shape our worship and obedience. We bow before Your majesty and honour Your holiness.
