ENDS TOMORROW! https://lzmfg.com/
We had a strong weekend at Formula Drift Orlando 2026 in the 2JZ E36! Made it through qualifying and fought our way into the Top 16 where we battled James Deane.
Unfortunately, a clear error from Formula Drift cost us the win in that battle. Watch the footage and leave a comment with your thoughts, still super proud of the fight the car and the crew put up all weekend — we’re getting closer every round.

Adam LZ battles at Formula Drift Orlando 2026 in the 2JZ Powered E36! Full event recap from qualifying to the controversial Top 16 battle against James Deane. This weekend at FD Orlando delivered massive action, big entries, and one very questionable judging call that cost us the round.
We came into Formula Drift Orlando 2026 ready to push the LZMFG 2JZ E36 hard. After strong practice sessions, we laid down solid qualifying runs and locked in a spot in the Top 32. The car was feeling better than ever with consistent power and grip through the high-speed zones at Orlando. Then came the Top 16 battle against drift legend James Deane — an absolute banger of a matchup full of close side-by-side action and big commitment from both drivers.
Unfortunately, an error from the Formula Drift team in our battle against James Deane ended up costing us the potential win. We’ll break down exactly what happened in this video and let the onboard footage and replay show you the full story.
Despite the disappointing result, I’m extremely proud of how the entire LZMFG crew performed all weekend. The 2JZ E36 continues to improve with every Formula Drift round in the 2026 season. We’re learning, making adjustments, and getting closer to challenging for podiums. This is still early in the 2026 FD season and the car has a lot more potential left to unlock.
