Iranian president, foreign minister join pro-government rally ‘to draw strength’

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi were filmed taking part in a pro-government rally in Tehran on Tuesday evening. “I have come only to draw strength. Seeing these people truly gives tremendous morale to everyone, and I am just a small part of these very people,” Araghchi told a reporter. Their appearance came five weeks into the US-Israeli war on Iran. Iranian rights group HRANA says more than 1,500 civilians have been killed since the war started in 28 February.
