Description
So a few years ago I realized that I know more names of my international friends’ spouses/partners than I do of my Korean friends. (Unless I know the partners personally too.)
This is because in typical Korean conversations with your friends, coworkers or peers, when you talk about your girlfriend, boyfriend or spouse, you often just use titles like 여자친구, 남자친구, 남편, 와이프, etc. But in English (and in many other European languages as well), the actual NAME of the spouse or partner is more commonly used 😃
Have you noticed this difference yourself?
