F-16 Canopy Impact Testing with Mop Heads?

Looks like they’ve changed the methods of how to test the impact strength of aircraft canopies and windshields, particularly F-16 canopies, from when I was on active duty. A lot of folks were mad at what was once used for these kinds of tests. It used to be chickens! We are gentler now… It looks to me like those are some kind of mop head being flung high speed at those canopies.
