Thought-terminating Cliches are killing our convos.

Having constructive, genuine convos online is becoming increasingly difficult. I'm seeing an increase in one pattern of behavior that is a convo-killer: thought-terminating cliches. What ARE thought-terminating cliches? What are some examples you see used online? Examples I see a lot lately, from ALL over the political spectrum: Let people enjoy things Pic or it didn't happen Agree to disagree No smoke without fire Believe women Boys will be boys Whatever Truth is subjective Doesn't pass the vibe check Not very "girls girl" of you Don't be THAT guy They're evil We're doomed It's too late You're just jealous Who paid you? You're an op/fed/psyop/sus It is what it is Who are you to judge?
