Description

Welcome to a Rail Town Productions film, in this film we are featuring: some maintenance trains, which involved two rail grinders. One of the rail grinders were tasked to working around platform 16 at Central on the Down Shore Line and another rail grinder was working on the City Outer Line around Circular Quay. The Robel train was also out with diesel locomotive 8165 and heritage electric locomotive 8649 in "Candy" livery. 8165 was removed just prior to Central Station, to allow 8649 to run into the City Circle towards Town Hall. This is to prevent diesel fumes from clogging up the tunnels. Passengers who wanted to travel between Central and Circular Quay, were tasked to ride the L2/L3 to either Town Hall, Wynyard or Circular Quay. Passengers for St James and Museum had to walk or catch local buses. Hope you enjoy the film. Timestamps 00:00 Sydenham (Rail grinders and Robel train) 07:00 St Peters (Robel train) 08:16 Central (rail grinder and robel train) 13:13 Circular Quay (rail grinder) We have Facebook, Instagram and Redbubble also.
