Lions Battle for Love Right Next to Tourists

A pair of lions clashed right next to safari tourists in a battle over a female. Lazarus Mmutlane was leading a tour from Tau Game Lodge, South Africa, on September 28 when a male set his sights on a potential mate. Dramatic footage captured the moment another lion charged at its distracted rival, sending it tumbling to the ground. With dust flying into the air, the lions swiped and bit at each other with their powerful jaws before the younger one ran off defeated.
