Embarking on the ultimate Indian road trip, we set out to conquer the 4 extreme corners of India in a true test of endurance for us, and for our two Volkswagens: the VW Virtus and the VW Taigun. This epic journey spanned the entire geographical canvas of India: • EAST: From catching the first sunlight in Kibithu, Arunachal Pradesh. • NORTH: To the stunning "Venice of the East" in Srinagar, Kashmir. • WEST: To the rugged, westernmost inhabited point at Koteshwar, Gujarat. • SOUTH: And finally, touching the mainland's southernmost tip in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu. We travelled thousands of kilometres to prove a point: that the sedan is still relevant, comfortable, and perhaps the superior choice for long, challenging journeys—a mission spearheaded by the Virtus. The Taigun equally reinforced German engineering and superiority, covering the entire distance with absolute reliability.
