This is a Motormouth couple car review of the Porsche Macan GTS electric SUV. There are 5 Porsche Macan electric models to choose from, all with a 95-kWh battery. The GTS has up to 563 horsepower and 704 lb-ft of torque with 473 km/294 miles of range. You want more power there’s the Porsche Macan Turbo with 630 horsepower and 471 km/293 miles of range. Other Porsche Macan EV models available include, the 4S with 509 horsepower and 466 km/290 miles of range. Macan 4 with 402 horsepower and 489 km/324 miles of range and finally the base Macan with 355 horsepower and 497 km/322 miles of range. The base model is RWD, all other models AWD. All Porsche Macan Electric models come standard with adaptive air suspension and Porsche active suspension management, a Tire Pressure monitoring system and a heat pump. This GTS handles like a Porsche, it’s dynamic to drive, there is never a lack of power, it feels smooth, the steering is precise, it takes corners beautifully and the turning radius is excellent. As with any Porsche, there are so many different packages, trims, upholstery options and colours to choose from. The interior of this GTS has a GT sport steering wheel, 18-way adaptive sport seats, Race-Tex upholstery with leather, Lugano blue stitching, carbon fibre trim and the 14-speaker Bose audio system. The Porsche Macan Electric comes with a 9.6 kW onboard charger, available 19.2 kW hour charger. It is compatible with an 800-volt charging architecture with charging speeds up to 270 kW. With a DC fast charger, it will charge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. With a level 2 charger it will charge from 0-100% in 11.5 hours. At a 400-volt charging station 10%-80% in 33 minutes.
