Nearly 30 year ago I met with the team behind the Thrust Supersonic Car, including the driver Andy Green. That car was the first and is still the only car to drive faster than the speed of sound. In 1996 Andy green drove the JCB Dieselmax the over 350 mph breaking the diesel powered landspeed record. Well Andy and JCB are back with another land speed record attempt with the JCB Hydromax and I went to RAF Wittering to take a look.
