Weather Update : कहीं दिन में छाएगा अंधेरा, कहीं झमाझम बारिश, आंधी-तूफान का अलर्ट | Monsoon | IMD The heavy rainfall witnessed during the final days of May has brought some relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has now issued an alert for thunderstorms and rain across 17 states within the next 12 hours. According to the IMD, the intensity of the heat is set to subside, as the impact of the heatwave has weakened across most regions of Central India, and relief is expected in the remaining areas within 24 hours. Meanwhile, parts of Northwest, Central, and East India may experience a spell of strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain on May 31. During this period, winds gusting up to 80 kilometers per hour are possible. According to the Meteorological Department, the Southwest Monsoon has gathered momentum, advancing into several new areas of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and Lakshadweep on May 30.
