２月２１日　清水港に係留の探査船ちきゅう(The Chikyu research vessel moored at Shimizu Port)

地球深部調査船ちきゅうは本来東京か横浜に置かれる予定だったが、 船底からの高さが１３０ｍなので港の入口にレインボーブリッジ(東京） ベイブリッジ(横浜)の橋があるため、置けない。 それで清水に決まったようだ。 鳥島の海底６０００ｍでのレアアースがものになると良いなぁ。 The deep-sea research vessel Chikyu was originally planned to be based in Tokyo or Yokohama, but its height from the bottom of the vessel makes it impossible to locate in Tokyo or Yokohama due to the Rainbow Bridge (Tokyo) and Bay Bridge (Yokohama) at the port entrance.
