It’s Really Hard to Believe this Place Exists!

Monument Valley is one of those landscapes that just sticks with you. It’s really hard to believe this place exists. I’m planning on doing more of these, there’s just too much inspiration to pass up! Here, I’m working on a copper panel, which is not my usual medium - but I love it! The lead white forms a natural chemical bond with the copper and it “sets up” an archival substrate for the paint. Something that will allow this piece to endure the ages. It’s a beautiful surface to work on.
