CCTV, banking records, and the getaway vehicle, which belonged to Kenny’s half brother, linked him to the crime. A search of his home uncovered weapons and clothing used in the invasion. Kenny first denied the offence but later admitted he had entered the house and assaulted the victim. He has previous convictions for armed robberies in 2017 and 2021, and the court noted a difficult upbringing marked by drug use, homelessness, and early gang involvement. Both sides agreed on an eight year starting point, reduced to four years and seven months due to his guilty plea, remorse, background, and some progress toward rehabilitation. A firearms order was considered but not imposed because he did not use the gun during the attack. The victims remain deeply affected, with ongoing fear and anxiety despite increased security at their home.
