Description

Karumba QLD to Cobbold Gorge — One Hell of an Outback Adventure After leaving Karumba and the Gulf Country behind, we begin the long outback drive towards Cobbold Gorge through some of Far North Queensland’s most remote and rugged country. Along the way we stop in Croydon to check out Lake Belmore and the historic Chinese memorial before pushing through Georgetown for fuel and supplies. From there, we roll into Forsyth for the night where we settle in with a great meal at the iconic Forsyth Pub before heading deeper into the Gulf Savannah towards the incredible Cobbold Gorge. This episode turned into far more than just another travel day. We take on the famous Cobbold Gorge boat tour, cross Australia’s first fully glass bridge and cool off in the resort pool before things suddenly take a turn... A mountain mishap leaves Eddie battered and bruised after a nasty fall and the adventure quickly becomes one we won’t forget anytime soon. What did we find? To finish the day, we jump in the 4WDs and head out to White Granite Rock for an unforgettable outback sunset overlooking the Queensland wilderness with drinks, a platter and one hell of a view. If you enjoy Australian travel, caravanning, outback Queensland, road trips, four wheel driving, fishing, drone footage and real off-grid adventure content, this one’s for you. #Karumba #CobboldGorge #OutbackQueensland
