In the shadow of the Iran war, Al-Aqsa Mosque faces new isolation

“It’s the least right I have as a Palestinian whose land was taken.” As global attention shifts to Iran with the start of the US-Israeli war on the it, Israel restricted Palestinians’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque almost immediately.  Israeli authorities closed the holy Muslim compound, citing an “emergency situation”, forcing worshippers to leave and preventing many from entering during Ramadan — the holiest month for Muslims.
