"UNDERSTANDING GOD’S LOVE In Genesis 22, God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his only son whom he loved, but stopped him. God did not stop His own Son, Jesus, from dying on the cross for us. We understand a parent’s love for a child, yet fail to fully grasp God’s, whose very essence is love. “God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them” (1 John 4:16). This verse speaks of a RELATIONSHIP with God. Unfortunately, sin breaks that relationship. In His love, God provides restoration. He gave a ram as a substitute for Isaac, and He gave His Son as a substitute for us. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son…” (John 3:16–17). We need only to trust Jesus to forgive our sins and restore our relationship with God. #DidYouKnow"
