Likable and Forgettable Photography

Most photographers spend their careers chasing perfect light and flawless composition. But the images that actually stay with people — the ones you can still describe years later — often have nothing to do with either. In this video I break down two photographers whose work I have studied for years and use in every workshop I teach. James Nachtwey and Brenda Ann Kenneally work in completely different ways. One is dramatic, artistic, chasing light and shadow inside chaos. The other is raw, present, and completely unconcerned with any of that. Both make images that are impossible to forget.
