Description

Here’s how I ended up with a mourning dove with commitment issues. This wasn’t about food. This was about emotional availability. So this dove comes in with fancy feet right out of the gate. like, “Hey… hi… maybe.” Then it shuffles off like, “I’m good.” Which—first of all— you don’t get to tiny step out of a relationship you just started. Two seconds later—she’s like PSYCH—spins around, comes back. More fancy feet. Then it skirts away again like she’s DONE with me— and immediately spins back like, “Actually… let’s talk.” This bird has commitment issues. She wants intimacy… but also freedom to disappear whenever she feels like it. Which might sound like some people you know (close up on it’s face) Even to Ashley she’s like: yes no maybe actually hold on wait don’t rush me…It said all that with its feet But when a titmouse tries to steal the moment, the dove commits by just plopping onto my hand. That bird didn’t want food—it wanted control. At that point my hand becomes a magic carpet ride Even the smallest creature recognize patience snf peace. You don’t chase moments like this— become the place they want to plop down
