Super Fisheries - We’re starting this Cape Town food tour today in Athlone to try the original Gatsby, a giant fast food creation that is one of the most well known street foods in Cape Town and this is where they invented it. I enjoyed their amazing Calamari, Fish and Chips Gatsby. Price - 180 ZAR ($10.72) Arshad's Kitchen - Next up we’re heading to Arshad's Kitchen to try some of the best chicken tikka in Cape Town, and they serve amazing Halal grilled food. Price - 60 ZAR ($3.57) The Golden Dish - But nothing in Cape Town will prepare you for the shock and amazing gatsby sandwiches that you can order at the Golden Dish. I tried their insane Masala Steak Full House Gatsby which is the king of South African food and one of the world’s best sandwiches! Price - 260 ZAR ($15.49) Fish On The Rocks - Cape Town is also very well known for their fish and chips and Fish On The Rocks in Hout Bay is extremely iconic. I tried their Snoek & Chips, Hake & Chips, and their Peri Peri Prawns. Price - 115 ZAR ($6.85) per plate Bo-Kaap Kombuis Restaurant - Cape Malay’s are predominantly Muslims that were indentured laborers and enslaved who were brought to the Cape in South Africa, and they developed their own unique food and culture.
