Journeying Across The Himalayas is a first-of-its-kind multidisciplinary festival that celebrates stories of and from the Himalayas. Bringing together travellers and communities through installations, exhibitions, and experiences, the festival spans visual and performing arts like music, dance, theatre, culinary journeys, conversations, and more. Offering immersive ways to engage with the region’s natural, tangible, and intangible heritage, it opens a window into the distinct voices, experiences, art and culture that shape the region. This year's theme, “Ours to Tell” looks at the Himalayas not only as a landscape, but as a living archive of stories, identities, and traditions that are told by those to whom they belong. Experience the region through first-person narratives: voices of communities, practitioners, and storytellers whose lived realities shape the cultural landscape. Whatever you encounter at the festival—on stage, in exhibition halls, or over shared meals—opens up the layered histories and contemporary expressions that define the Himalayas today.
