KPRC: New Patrol Support Team Offers Specialized Backup | Houston Police

HPD's new Patrol Support Team (PST) is providing tactical support to our patrol officers. The officers have advanced training and equipment such as drones, shields, less than lethal weapons, and breaching tools to cut glass or cut wires. Their main responsibility will be to monitor the radio traffic and respond to patrol scenes where assistance is needed. The PST operate evening shift, seven days a week and will soon expand to operate 24/7.
