Italy is beautiful, but after 21 years of living in Italy, I am leaving. From the Colosseum to Tuscan sunsets, from endless espresso to chaotic train rides, Italy has been my home for two decades. Most people dream of moving here. I actually did it. And now I am walking away. In this video I explain why beauty alone is not enough. Rome is timeless, delicious, inspiring, and full of history, but daily life is also weighed down by bureaucracy, broken systems, tourist crowds, and a rhythm that no longer fits me. Even with the food, culture, and charm, I realized I needed something new. I share what it feels like to pack up my Florence apartment, to leave behind neighbors who argue louder than car horns, and to face the reality that comfort can become a cage.
