Return to Matriarchy

For approximately 95% of human existence (roughly 200,000 years), we lived in small, egalitarian, cooperative bands where women's roles as mothers, gatherers, and knowledge-keepers were central. In other words, Matriarchy. Patriarchy, a hierarchical, male-dominated, property-based society, is a recent invention, only about 6,000 years old. That is less than 5% of our time as a species. Matriarchy is not about women ruling over men. It is about centring life, care, and the next generation. The patriarchy is a brief, violent chapter in the long story of humanity, and now is the time to return to the mother.
