Pursuit of Progression: Missy Martucci

In the second instalment of MAAP’s Pursuit of Progression athlete series, we spent some time with Los Angeles rider Missy Martucci. A high school chemistry teacher and an elite fixed crit and road racer, Missy is on a mission to bring more women and historically marginalised individuals to the start line. To do so Missy and her partner founded Gruppetto, a mixed-discipline race team in LA. In this next film, Missy discusses her personal experience with finding safety and home on the bike and how she’s moulding Gruppetto to progress inclusion in the sport of cycling.
