Corsica Lunch Flight – SKYMONKEYYYs Battle Weather & Return at Sunset

A spontaneous decision takes the Skymonkeyyys across the Mediterranean to Corsica for lunch. The coastal route is well known from earlier adventures—see also Skymonkeyyys Mediterranean Tour 2013—but this time the weather turns quickly. Storm clouds gather, the swim is cut short, and bilge pumps are fired up as the planes face the risk of flooding. Yet, as always, the skies clear after the rain. The Monkeyyys line up on runway 09 and set course back to the heart of Tuscany. Three more hours in the air bring them home just in time for sunset and the traditional landebier. Group B made it only as far as Elba that day—but with the Skymonkeyyys, there are no rankings. Everyone belongs, and nothing is forbidden—as long as the propeller keeps turning.
