Description
The 2026 Chevy Traverse RS allows you to customize how high the rear power liftgate opens, making it convenient for garages with lower ceilings or for drivers who prefer a specific height. Non-commission sales specialist Austin Hernandez shares more.
To adjust the liftgate settings, start by going to the infotainment system and tapping Settings. From there, scroll to Vehicle, then select Comfort and Convenience. In that menu, you’ll see an option for Power Liftgate Opening. You can choose Maximum, turn it Off, or select Custom.
If you choose Custom, go to the rear of the vehicle and open the liftgate. Manually pull it down to your preferred height. Then press and hold the power liftgate button on the back of the liftgate until you hear a beep and see the lights flash. That signals the new height has been saved.
It’s a simple and convenient feature that makes everyday use even easier.
