Description

A troop of Japanese monkeys (aka snow monkey; Macaca fuscata fuscata, family Cercopithecidae) climbed up a giant old tree of Kaki Persimmon tree (Diospyros kaki, family Ebenaceae) at the edge of the snow-covered crop field to forage for ripe fruits remaining on leafless branches. Captured with my old glitchy trailcam day and night of mid- and late-January 2025 in Japan.
