There was good news on Thursday for Montrealers fed up with this winter’s trying temperatures, as Genie, the black bear at the Ecomuseum Zoo in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, emerged from her slumber. After noting an increase in her activity levels over the weekend, zookeepers had initially planned to let the 15-year-old bear out of her indoor den on Tuesday. However, Genie had other plans.
