The Coolest Flying: Airshows in Wet Weather

Something I’ve always enjoyed… airshow flying in WET or really moist weather. The vortices off the prop tips of these two old WWII warbirds never disappoints. You can see the ground saturation as their wheels accelerate through the grass. A Marine Corps STOVL F-35 lifting off a very wet runway at NAS Iwakuni is a real crowd-pleaser. A personal favorite is the vortices created off the tips of the vertical tails of the F-22 Raptor.
