2025 Sir Frank Holmes Memorial Lecture in Public Policy with Dame Juliet Gerrard

Dame Juliet Ann Gerrard DNZM FRSNZ delivered the 2025 Sir Frank Holmes Memorial Lecture in Policy Studies on Tuesday 18 November 2025. As the Prime Minister's Chief Science Advisor to three Prime Ministers, Dame Gerrard provided science advice on a broad range of topics. Her lecture, “A front row seat: lessons learned at the intersection of science, policy, and politics”, reflected on these tumultuous six years of her career, including the Christchurch mosque shooting, the volcanic eruption of Whakaari / White Island, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
