Ambulance Tasmania Helicopter VH-XCI Cambridge 2026

On the 7 of January 2026 ,VH-XCI a BELL 412EP operated by Rotor lift for Ambulance Tasmania could be seen taking off from the old Rotor lift Depot at Cambridge. This was my last video of the rotor lift operator in action before they ceased operations on the 11th of January 2026. Star Flight were awarded a 12 year contract for aeromedical retrieval, search and rescue, and aerial law enforcement services replacing Rotor lift who had been operating search and rescue operations for the last 25 years. Star flight commenced operations in Tasmania on the 12th of January 2026 operating a fleet of 4 Bell 412EPs before replacing them with brand new Airbus H145 helicopters in late 2027.
