Starting out with armed robbery and a violent reputation, they soon move up the criminal ladder. With the rise of dance music they come to rule the doors of the city’s super clubs like the legendary Hacienda, controlling the supply of drugs onto the dance floor. The brothers stop at nothing to maintain their power. No Mafia decapitated horses’ heads here, they sever the head of a dog to warn off one rival and were accused of assassinating another. For which one of the brothers was charged but acquitted amid accusations of jury tampering. In all they were reported to be behind 27 “hits”. A bare-knuckle boxer, a bouncer who used to run with them and the police officers on their trail tell the story of how Dessie, Dominic and Damian amassed a one-time fortune of millions.
