Political Leaders on Christian Faith - Weak or Strategic

In the past year, Prime Minister Luxon has done social media messages for Christmas, Lent, and Ramadan (but you'll see a distinct contrast in the messages he communicates on each of these holy days); and Labour leader Chris Hipkins has been very public in his support of Diwali and Ramadan. Are our politicians intentionally avoiding Christian faith, while being much more overt in support of Diwali and Ramadan? Are they being weak or strategic?
